Wednesday, November 6, 2019 7:30pm at CENTENNIAL HALL

With intense virtuoso performances, these four musicians – Zoran Dukic, Reentko Dirks, Pavel Steidl and Thomas Fellow – each of them a renowned performer in his own right – have set themselves the task of blending the instrument’s concert tradition with the expressive, dynamic sounds of modern music, taking listeners on a thrilling musical journey. These four have been known to take on unique interpretations of pieces by Astor Piazzolla and the dances of the Paraguayan guitar legend Agustín Barrios; the melodious compositions of Nicolo Paganini and the complex rhythms of Balkan dances; as well as the works of Thomas Fellow, Reentko, Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill. These astounding musicians combine concert music, world music and jazz in a contemporary embrace, capturing a spirit of motion in a raucous program of crossover tunes. An eclectic and exciting guitar event for aficionado and novice alike! This event is presented in conjunction with Tucson Guitar Society and Lead Guitar.
