When will the 2020-21 UA Presents season be announced?

We will be announcing the future of UA Presents and our 2020-21 programming in August. Tickets will go on sale at this time.

Will you have a physical box office where I can go to place an order?

As of May 28, we are still adhering to university shelter-in-place ordinances and do not have a planned opening date for our physical box office. Ticket orders will be able to be placed online 24/7. If you need assistance, email uapresents@arizona.edu and our staff will respond as soon as possible.

Will performances actually happen in fall 2020?

We are planning exciting artistic experiences appropriate for the times in which we are living. While there will be a number of performances that will be announced in August, we know that policies around large gatherings may prohibit certain types of shows from happening, along with many other factors. Artists around the world are experiencing difficulties traveling on top of sweeping tour cancellations. Each day brings more news—but through it all, we promise to keep you informed.

When performances start up again, what measures will UA Presents take to protect patrons?

When we come back together again in the fall, we will be adhering to guidelines set at the University, city, county, and federal levels. Decisions are ongoing and will be made in consultation with the university and local health officials.

What do I do if I have a ticket to a show but I’m not feeling well?

If you are experiencing symptoms or have come into contact with anyone who is sick, please stay home. Your tickets may be exchanged for any other performance in the same season or donated as a tax-deductible donation to UA Presents. You may request a refund if the other possibilities are not an option for you.

If I purchase a ticket to a performance that is later canceled or rescheduled, can I get a refund?

If a performance is canceled or rescheduled, you may exchange to a different performance within the same season, donate your ticket as a tax-deductible donation to UA Presents, or request a refund.

Will you start livestreaming concerts?

UA Presents is excited to announce the launch of The Tucson Studio, an online resource for Southern Arizona musicians that offer technical assistance with audio and video production for live performance and a platform to showcase those performances. The program launched with several initiatives, including a website (thetucsonstudio.com), social media channels and a concert series, featuring performances filmed live on-location at the Tucson Botanical Gardens and around Southern Arizona.

This is all so crazy. Is UA Presents going to be okay?

Times are tough for many of us in the arts and entertainment industry, but we are doing our best to stay positive, connected, and flexible. UA Presents is using this time to reimagine how we can bring live experiences to Southern Arizona that unite and serve everyone, across all neighborhoods and cultures.

How can I support artists during this time?

Follow your favorite artists on social media or explore new sounds! Purchase music directly from the artist, grab that cool band t-shirt you’ve always wanted, or visit artist and company websites to see if there are other ways you can support directly. Share your favorite artists with friends, families, and kids—a little goes a long way. And keep listening and watching them hone their craft from afar.

I had tickets to a performance in UA Presents’ 2019–20 season. What happened to those?

All tickets to canceled performances have been refunded. If you have not yet received your refund or if you have any questions, contact uapresents@arizona.edu.
